Ursa Minor has been a leader in the instigation and development of the
NLSG
foundation comprised of Dutch SMEs for the joint
conceptualisation
and development of location based services and is an active member of
EuroTeleServ,
a European group of companies facilitating the
organisation and implementation of GNSS related projects.
Emerging
Interests
Current developing projects include location based
services for crop forecasting and mitigating information overflow.
Efficient growth and supply of food is set to become an increasingly
important concern. Ursa Minor is currently collaborating on novel
location based integtrated applications in this field for efficient in
situ verification of satellite data in crop forecasting. Similarly,
with ICT constantly increasing the amount of information to users, Ursa
Minor is collaborating in efforts to implement new applications for the
mitigation of information overload.
Research Interests
Our team have various relevant personal research interests including
marine safety, biomimetics and emerging technologies.
